About TOON FACTORY

Created in 1999 with Maureen de Choiseul and run by Thierry Berthier, Toon Factory today regoups various activities. Animation production by Toon Factory and Story, post production services by TABB Productions and audiovisual distribution by Toon Distribution.

On the production side, Toon Factory, specialist in children’s animation, counts numerous series in their catalogue: “How to Care for your Monster” (52 x 13′ – 2004)  and “Kid Clones” (52 x 13′ – 2005) for TF1, “Franky Snow” (52 x 13′ – 2007) for M6 and Canal J, “Samson and Neon” (78 x 7′ – 2009) for TF1, “My Friend Grompf” (52 x 13′ – 2009) for France 3 and Disney Channel, “Tony and Alberto” (78 x 7 – 2012) for M6 and Canal J.

After a hiatus dedicated to the production of children’s musicals, Thierry Berthier returned to animation production in 2015 co-producing “Chronokids” (78 x 7′) for TF1, “The LIttle Devils 3” (52 x 11′) for Canal Plus Family with Futurikon, K3 (52 x 13′) with Studio 100 for M6 and most recently, “Sardine in Outer Space” (52 x 11′) for Teletoon +, adapted from the well known comic books by Joann Sfar, Emmanuel Guibert and Mathieu Sapin (published by Dargaud).  Story owns the underlying rights to the series “The Little Vampire” (52 x 13′) and is co-producer of the feature film of the same name directed by Joann Sfar, which will be released in October 2020.

On the distribution side, Thierry Berthier manages the international rights (outside Asia and English speaking territories) of the series “Chi, a Cat’s Life” and “Chi, My Kitten“, produced by Kodansha, which has become a real phenomenon worldwide.
